Life During Construction

When will construction start and end during the day?

Monday through Satuday, construction workers are permitted to operate between the hours of 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Will construction work occur on the weekends?

The Comprehensive Permit for the Residences of South Brookline and Hancock Village Drive allows construction to begin at 7:00 AM on Saturday mornings. However, Chestnut Hill Realty has, for the time being, agreed to a starting time of 8:30 AM on Saturdays to conclude work by 6:00 PM. There will be no work performed on Sundays.

How much noise will construction cause?

As with all construction projects, there will be varying degrees of noises depending on the type of work occurring. We will do our best to limit noise where and when possible. We have incorporated noise reducing methods into the specification of the work.

Will construction interrupt my utilities (Gas, Water or Electricity)?

Should there need to be a temporary disconnection of one of your utilities, we will notify you in advance. With that being said, construction projects may face unexpected situations that may require an immediate disconnection. In these rare instances, we will restore your utilities as quickly as we can.

How will traffic be affected?

Traffic patterns may change through the various projects. Notifications will be sent for scheduled disruptions. Police details will be present, if the scope of work deems necessary.

There are many families in our community, what about safety?

Safety is one of our top priorities! There will be precautionary measures taken to ensure the safety of all residents, staff, vendors, and visitors throughout the community. If you have any questions or concerns regarding safety, please contact our Construction Community Liaison.
